Hi Everyone!
My name is Karim Kazamel, and I am originally from Cairo, Egypt. I recently earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Industrial Engineering from Dalhousie University in 2025 (recent graduate). During my undergraduate studies, I completed two co-op terms at Efficiency Nova Scotia (EfficiencyOne) and one term at Micco Warehousing & Logistics at Micco Companies, where I gained hands-on experience in energy efficiency, logistics, and production systems.
For my final-year capstone project, my team worked with DRS Pivotal Power to improve facility throughput through capacity maximization and develop a scheduling tool using several heuristic-based approaches to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. My academic and professional interests focus on applying operations research, data analytics, and systems optimization to complex challenges in manufacturing, technology and healthcare. I am currently working as an Industrial Engineering Content Creator with the Department of Industrial Engineering at Dalhousie University until mid-July 2025.
