Message from the Leader

The Health Care Optimization and Analytics Lab (H-COAL) is a research lab in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Dalhousie University. We are conducting world-leading research in the area of health care.  Our research aims to improve patient outcomes through the optimization of health systems and the application of data analytics.

​The mission of H-COAL is to discover novel processes that will make substantive improvements to the healthcare system and ultimately improve patient outcomes. We are working in many areas including Stroke care.

It is with tremendous pride that I lead an outstanding team of trainees and staff. Each of them is leading or contributing to exciting research projects that are making an impact.
